How Do Vaccines Work: Science ESL Lesson

This B1–C1 Science ESL lesson plan explores how vaccines work and how they train the immune system to recognize and fight pathogens. Through a scientific video and structured worksheet activities, students examine different types of vaccines, from traditional weakened viruses to modern DNA-based technology.

This lesson develops high-level academic and technical English skills, including:

• Process Explanation: Using cause–effect language and passive structures to describe biological reactions.
