Online vs traditional marketing

ESL news-based lesson plan

Lesson Overview

This ESL lesson plan on Marketing and advertising will focus on Traditional marketing and Digital marketing. ESL students will look at how  Traditional marketing and Digital marketing differ and how these  two different marketing methods can be used to help   businesses to promote their services and products. Students will learn different language structures that will allow them to speak about the topic.

It focuses on practising critical skills in listening, speaking, collaboration and critical thinking.  If used as a flipped ESL lesson, you will need at least 90 minutes to complete this lesson. However, lessons can run up to 3 hours ( consider two  90-minute lessons or for university teachers to adjust as needed).

While targeting intermediate and upper-intermediate English language learners, it is highly adaptable as it has been purposely designed to facilitate mixed-level classes. This includes targeting professionals in a tertiary institution such as a university or professional environment.
